ICBC Counselling
Recover with Care and Support
The aftermath of a car accident can be overwhelming—physically, emotionally, and mentally. You may be coping with pain, trauma, anxiety, or a loss of routine and confidence. ICBC counselling offers a space to process what happened, manage emotional effects, and rebuild your sense of well-being.
At Open Heart Counselling, we are an ICBC-approved provider offering trauma-informed therapy to support your recovery journey. Sessions are virtual, confidential, and tailored to your pace and needs.

ICBC counselling is available to individuals who have been injured in a motor vehicle accident and have an active claim. You may be eligible for counselling sessions—fully or partially covered by ICBC—without a doctor’s referral.
We help clients navigate:
Anxiety, panic, or hypervigilance after the accident
Trauma-related symptoms (e.g., flashbacks, sleep issues)
Emotional distress and mood changes
Fear of driving or being in a vehicle
Grief and adjustment following injury or loss
Ongoing stress, pain, or reduced quality of life
You’ll be met with compassion and zero pressure. Our ICBC counselling sessions are trauma-informed and paced to meet your comfort level. We use evidence-based approaches like EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness to gently work through your experience and support your healing.
We’ll also help you:
Understand and regulate trauma responses
Restore a sense of safety and control
Manage the emotional toll of physical injury
Regain confidence and move forward
Take the First Step Toward Recovery
If you have an ICBC claim number, you may already qualify for counselling coverage. We’ll help you confirm your eligibility and get started.
Please note: All counselling services will be provided virtually at this time.
