At Open Heart Counselling, our mission is to provide you with compassionate and professional therapy, promoting mental and emotional well-being.  At Open Heart we acknowledge that our work takes place on the traditional and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Individual Counselling

Working with individuals to help develop positive coping skills, regardless of how big or small the issue seems.

Relationship Counselling

Working with relationships, monogamous or non-monogamous, to support communication, intimacy, and connection.

CVAP

If you are a victim, witness, or family member of someone who is a victim of crime, you can apply to the BC Crime Victim Assistance Program for assistance for counselling services.

 

FNHA

If you are registered with FNHA you may be eligible for some coverage for counselling services. If you have questions about whether or not you qualify, ask me and we can look into it together.

Trauma

Trauma is complicated and can impact so many aspects of our lives, without us even noticing. Our work in therapy will help you to understand patterns and how they affect the way you move through your world.

Grief

We all experience grief at one point or another. What can make grief so difficult is feeling stuck. Together in therapy we will uncover what might be contributing to feelings of “stuckness”.

IBS Counselling

IBS can really get in the way of living a normal life. While IBS is not fully understood, counselling can be part of a holistic approach to relieving symptoms. Using CBT and mindfulness, we can work together to build a set of skills and techniques to help you get back to living a healthy life.

Alternate Relationships

In today’s world many people are looking for alternatives to monogamy. Whether you’re considering opening your relationship or are already in alternative relationship, we can work to build skills to ensure the success of your relationship.
